Since the 3-hour van-ride to the resort was nerve-racking enough, we took a small airplane back to Puerto Plata. Here we are, about ready to take off. |
A few of these aerial shots turned out pretty good, so I thought I'd share them with you. |
Now, I THINK this is the resort we stayed at in the middle of this cove. At least, I'm pretty sure anyway. Everything seemed to fit. |
On the way, here is a look at a city that we passed over. This one was one of the better shots I think. |
Even though this one isn't very good, it give you a good idea of what the countryside looks like There are a lot of small hills scattered everywhere. |
Now, this turned out almost perfectly. I got a near-perfect picture of the Puerto Plata International Airport. This is our last stop before heading home to Canada. |
Down on the ground, here is our pilot, Stever, and his 1976 Cessna Skyhawk. Thanks for the lift! |
This isn't the aircraft that we're about to go on, but it made a pretty nice picture. |
...and this is the one that will take us home, a SkyService A320 airbus. I'm sure not looking forward to getting inside that plane to go home to ice and snow. It made me shiver just thinking about it. |
