One of the things you can do at the resort, is go and play beach volleyball. There's always a crowd ready to accept another player. |
You can make arrangements to rent a 4-wheel All-terrain vehicle and go bombing down the beach or into town. We had fun with one of these machines. |
Here's Karen sitting on the ATV we rented. This picture is taken down around that penninsula you saw earlier. |
We went down the coastline to Casa Coson where we had our New Year's Eve party. I wanted a drink and some pictures. |
This is looking out from the back of Casa Coson. Their walk to the beache is even shorter than back at the resort. They sure do have a nice little nook. |
Here's some more forgotten glass bottles. I hadn't seen these things for years. |
If you want to go diving, and you're not already certified, then you start off taking a lesson in the pool. |
Here's a group practicing with Gerrard, the local Sunquest representative / dive shop owner. Yeah! I passed, so it's off to open water. |
All geared up and ready to jump off the diving boat. We're about to go for a 40-minute dive around a miniature island. There are lots of small caves to see down here. |
Going diving was actually a lot easier than I had expected. The worst trouble I had was keeping the mask from fogging up, and that wasn't much trouble at all. |
On our way down into the water. I saw caves, colourful tropical fish, seashells, jellyfish, and lots of other sea-life. It was simply fascinating. |
Some of the others that came on the boat chose to go snorkelling instead. They're going for a surface-swim around this little island where I'm currently diving underneath. |
Back to the boat when the air runs low in the tanks. I had a lot of fun on my first open-water dive. I went out for two more dives the very next day and saw a sunken boat, and a coral reef. |
